Meghan is truly the best medicine I have ever received. She has given me the gift of reconnecting with my body. I have a pretty intense, stress filled life and age old injuries. Between the two I wasn’t able to decipher pain and the cause of my pain. Meghan was able to teach me while working through my issues from head to toe. I LOVE that she incorporates at home therapy with yoga postures during our appointments. Meghan has an amazing ability to put me at ease and make me laugh which helps with my overall health.

Meghan is passionate about helping clients overcome postural issues and chronic pain that they believed might only be remedied with surgical procedures. Meghan’s philosophy is premised on the belief that we hold the power to heal ourselves. Due to stress and fast-paced lives, we can lose the ability to simply “be” in our bodies. However, through awareness of one's self, we can begin to heal. Working with the nervous system, Meghan re-educates her clients’ brains to sense areas in their own bodies that have become chronically tight. “I am only the conduit for change; the change comes from you”.

Meghan’s personal journey to massage and body work began with the discovery that she could self-heal an injury that she obtained during marathon training. Her inability to walk without pain for 5 months led her to a yoga class. Although she studied anatomy in college, she didn't have a clue what was going on mechanically inside her own body. Her first yoga class changed her opinion about pain and healing. By the end of a month of daily yoga, her injury was healed. Yoga sparked her interest in healing through movement and taught her to be more sensitive to subtle (or painful!) signals in her body, bringing awareness to her body’s mechanics and intricate relationships between the command center (the brain) and the muscles, joints and organs and all other tissues. She incorporates her training as a therapeutic-focused yoga instructor to better help guide others along their healing journey. “It is very rewarding to watch my clients’ attitudes about ‘pain’ and healing change from session to session”.

Meghan graduated as a Certified Massage Therapist and Advanced Neuromuscular Therapist from National Holistic Institute in San Jose where she studied Eastern and Western modalities, kinesiology, physiology, pathology, and more anatomy. She is currently practicing a mix of Reiki, Neuromuscular Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Craniosacral Therapy and the Vodder Technique of Manual Lymphatic Drainage.
